In this article we will learn how to turn off GetPivotData option while referencing a pivot table in excel. This usually happens while referencing a cell from the pivot table. Creating a reference from another cell appears like =B4 but if the reference is done from a pivot table then GetPivotData function gets added to the formula.
Steps
- Click on any cell in the pivot table
- Goto Analyze Tab –> Pivot Table
- Click on the arrow icon under the Pivot Table
- Click on drop down near the Options
- Click the Generate GetPivotData to turn the feature off.
Once the Generate GetPivotData is turned off, it will create reference from a pivot table in the same way as reference to a normal cell.
